OUR FOUNDER

API was founded in January 2024 by Filipe Macedo, an AI Solutions Engineer with more than six years of software engineering experience who has launched three side ventures. He combines technology with business development to turn ambitious ideas into practical AI solutions and thriving communities.

API is an AI community born in Porto, built on one simple idea: AI should be practical, accessible, and useful for everyone.

We bring together engineers, researchers, builders, and curious minds to learn, experiment, and share what actually works. Before we talk about technology, we listen. We learn from each other's real experiences and turn them into knowledge anyone can use.
